Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Oklahoma City benefits each year from generous contributors and
corporations who desire to impact children positively by supporting our program of matching children with adult role models.  There are several different ways donors can help support the program, and receive tax deductions for gifts. The following giving options are different ways you can help support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Oklahoma City.

Cash Gifts:

This is the simplest method of giving.  You can send a personal check, or give by using your Visa or Master Card.  Call to make a Visa or MC donation 943-8075.  Send cash donations to:

Real and Personal Property:

A residence or other real property may be donated outright.  Also, donors may give their home and retain the right to occupy the property for life.  Personal property such as fine art, jewelry, antiques, etc. make excellent gifts as well.  On outright real estate gifts you can benefit by receiving a tax deduction for the property's full fair-market value, and you can avoid paying a capital gains tax.

Life Insurance:

A life insurance policy is another way an individual can give.  This is a good way to give particularly if a person has limited financial means or cash on hand.  The value of a life insurance policy is tax deductible.  If donors continue to pay premiums after their gift, they are also deductible.

Bequests:

A will provision allows donors to make a substantial contribution without depleting or diminishing their assets during their lifetime.  Bequests are deductible from the donors taxable estate, and significant estate tax savings are possible.

Endowment Fund:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Oklahoma City currently has an existing endowment fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.  Cash gifts may be sent to the Community Foundation, but you must specify that your gift goes directly to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Oklahoma City fund.  Send cash donations to:

In-kind Gifts:

In-kind gifts are greatly appreciated.  These types of contributions help us to save more of our funds for actual programming and delivery of direct services to children.  Our current in-kind wish list includes:
