You
can be someone's positive role model.
So,
what is Big Brothers Big Sisters?
BBBS
is a non-profit community organization dedicated to providing positive
adult friendships to children from single parent homes. BBBS is funded
by the United Way and a variety of special events, grants, foundations
and individual contributions.
Who
are these children?
Little
Brothers and Sisters are between the ages of 7 and 17. They are children
who would like to have an adult friend to spend time with. This might mean
shooting a few baskets at the local park, helping with homework or going
to the zoo. Their parents want an adult friend for their child, too!
Changing
the world, one child at a time.
Why
do they need you?
All
kids need role models. If they can't find good ones, they'll settle for
just about anyone. Our goal is to keep children in school and out of trouble
by matching them with mature role models who can encourage them to make
safe, positive choices. Making a difference is easy!
What
does it means to be a Big Brother, Big Sister or a Couples Big?
Above
all, it means satisfaction. You'll never know how much it means to a child
to spend a few short hours a week with a special friend. Children need
someone to look up to - someone to have fun with - a special someone who
can be their friend.

What's
the catch?
We're
asking you to give one of the most valuable commodities you have - your
time. It only takes 3-5 hours a week. Is that the catch? You bet! And it's
a good one because in return for the time you spend, you'll get a friend.
You'll make a difference in a life. The sad part is that many of our Little
Brothers have been waiting for over a year. So please, call today.
What
do I do first?

age and so on. Before the match is made, you will have the opportunity
